Candlelight Hike at Mt. McSauba

Mackinac Island Twilight Turtle Trek
A 2-mile, lantern-lit ski and snowshoeing trek through some of Mackinac Island’s natural winter wonderland. Begins at the corner of Arch Rock Road and Huron Road. with a bonfire and hot chocolate. For more information, visit mackinacparks.com.
Love You to the Yak ‘n’ Bak Indoor Petting Farm Event
Enjoy petting and feeding well-behaved animals with provided animal-friendly snacks. Create and deliver a love note to your favorite animal in the barn, and also share a sweet Valentine’s photo op with the farm’s cherished pets. Celebrate the winter at Petoskey’s Winter Carnival in downtown Petoskey. This event is held in partnership with the long-running Winter Sports Park Winter Carnival.

Each August, the Mackinac Island Fudge Festival celebrates this delight with music and activities throughout the weekend.
You can find performances almost any night of the week in Northern Michigan with music by area musicians as well as professionals.
Boyne City’s Harvest Festival is held each September and fills the downtown with music, crafts, and fall produce.
There are many Easter Egg Hunts and activities to be enjoyed by families throughout Northern Michigan each spring.

North Central Michigan College’s Natural Area in Petoskey includes over five miles of trails that run through unique habitats.
Fort Mackinac is open from May-October and includes buildings restored their original look after the fort’s occupation by the British
Take a beautiful color tour as you travel under a tunnel of colorful trees along M-119 from Harbor Springs to Cross Village.
The Andrew J. Blackbird Museum is named for a counselor who helped Native American veterans. Native American artifacts fill the museum space.

With miles of scenic trails terrain and local snowmobile clubs, Northern Michigan is the place to bring the snow sleds in the winter.
The National Shrine of the Cross in the Woods is a 55′ x 22′ redwood cross cut from one redwood tree and with a 28′ tall bronze crucifix.
With woods, dunes, and frozen lakes, the trails near Charlevoix and Boyne City are the places to cross country ski from December-March.
Get off the ferry from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace to Mackinac Island and the first thing you’ll see is the historic downtown area.
This 28-mile scenic highway running between Atwood and Boyne Falls known as the Breezeway draws visitors because it is gorgeous.
